Discover Janet's evocative semi-abstract landscapes and expressive paintings, where bold colour, fluid movement and layered texture come together to create atmosphere and emotion, and meet the artist to learn more bout her process and the stories behind her work.

Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, memories, music and experiences, Janet begins many of her landscapes with sketches and watercolours created en plein air. These are later transformed into large-scale oil paintings, building layers of translucent colour and expressive brushwork to retain the fluid, almost watery quality of her original studies.

Janet enjoyed a successful 30-year career in design and interiors before choosing to paint full time in 2015. Since then, she has exhibited extensively across the UK, completed commissions for properties around the world and contributed work to charity auctions and publications including Elle Decoration & Living.
