Stik
Width: 49.79 cm (19.6 in)
STIK’s Holding Hands lithograph series, released in 2020, is a striking representation of universal love and solidarity. Featuring two of his iconic stick figures holding hands, the piece explores both unity and individual perspectives, with the figures facing opposite directions. This unique tension creates a powerful visual statement about connection and independence.
The series is available in five vibrant color variations—red, orange, yellow, blue, and teal—each measuring 50 x 50 cm. These prints were originally distributed through the Hackney Today newspaper as part of a community initiative, in celebration of the unveiling of STIK's Holding Hands sculpture in Hoxton Square. This special release reflects STIK’s gratitude to the Hackney community, which supported him through difficult times.
While the edition size remains undisclosed, many prints from this series are hand-signed by the artist, making them especially desirable to collectors. The Holding Hands lithographs have performed strongly at auction, showcasing their continued appeal and solid investment potential.
More than just a piece of contemporary art, this series embodies STIK’s commitment to community and his ability to convey deep, thought-provoking messages through minimalist forms. For collectors, enthusiasts, and art investors, Holding Hands represents both a timeless work of art and a symbol of unity and resilience.
