Kate studied Fine Art: Painting and Drawing at university, where she explored the plethora of materials available to contemporary artists, working in a range of mediums including collage and resin, as well as more traditional techniques of charcoal on paper, and acrylics on canvas. Kate exhibited her abstract series at The Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, London, and from this, was selected as a finalist in the Graduate Art Prize exhibition, curated by ArtIQ and held at Herbert Smith Freehills, City of London.
Kate’s career has continued to grow, having her work was showcased in a debut solo exhibition in 2023. This was held in the vibrant market town of Marlborough and was hosted by the outstanding Nova Fine Art gallery and its team.
Kate combines her passion for the natural world with the energetic brushstrokes and techniques of contemporary painting, blurring the lines and bridging the gaps between traditional wildlife portraiture and spontaneous, lively abstract expressionism. In doing so, Kate captures the life, character and movement of her subject as well as drawing upon the beauty and essence of the area in which they inhabit through her choice of colour.
