Keren Golea

A UK-based artist born in the Philippines, Keren Golea specializes in creating realistic portrait paintings. She obtained a degree in Business but eventually pursued her passion for art and obtained a BA degree in Fine Art at Oxford. The genre of Keren’s work encompasses both drawing and painting with the intention of capturing the persona of the subject and providing a narrative approach in introducing her themes to the viewer. Her works was done and inspired by self-awareness. Albeit using a variety of materials and processes, there’s consistency in her methodology. Basking on the simplicity of the portrait with the use of charcoal, pastels, watercolours, and oils to reflect deeper on herself as an artist and to understand human beings’ innate characteristic.
