By the 1960s, Joan Miró had already become a celebrated figure in modern art, with his style being associated with both surrealism and abstract art. During this period, he embraced lithography as a major part of his artistic practice, exploring the possibilities of printmaking and expanding his visual language. This work, created in 1964, reflects Miró’s mature style, where he was increasingly focused on reducing forms to their most basic elements and allowing colour, shape, and line to communicate directly with the viewer.
