Wolf Blazar

Wolf Blazar is a contemporary digital artist working in Chelmsford, Essex. Entirely self-taught, he has cultivated a distinctive visual language he calls “Double Hexposure.”

In this debut published collection, Blazar merges the principles of double-exposure imagery with the recognizable hexagonal structure of a honeycomb. By blending multiple images into a single composition, he seeks to create layered works that invite deeper reflection and a more immersive viewing experience.

Narrative plays a central role in his practice. Each piece is built around a story, often exploring the idea of a “painting within a painting,” reinterpreted through a modern, contemporary lens to encourage varied interpretations and perspectives.

Every artwork begins as a compositional sketch before being transferred to a digital tablet, where it is carefully painted stroke by stroke.

Blazar’s 3D Hex artworks are individually handcrafted in his studio. Additional hexagonal elements are precisely cut, layered, and mounted across selected areas of the pieces, creating a floating three-dimensional effect with components set at three different heights.
